The Barra Mansa Retreat offers a variety of ecotourism activities for the fun and enchantment of the visitors. Check out the tours:

Horseback Riding: The horses are the best companions for a walk amid the mountain ranges, forests, savannah, and stalls. The scenery is lush flora and fauna, where you can encounter a huge variety of animals such as coatis, deer, anteaters, capybaras, and the birds of the region. The horses are docile and obedient, which makes the ride an option available to guests of all ages.

Boat ride: Boat rides are done in the Black River, one of the wonders of the Pantanal, which is only available to the farms of the region. The seasons of drought and flood of the Pantanal offer beautiful view of the aquatic plants and animals such as alligators, otters, nutria as well as birds. In the period of drought, you can see animals such as capybaras, tapirs, quexadas and, with luck, the jaguar. Done with a quiet, electric motor, the ride is perfect for the observation of wildlife. The river is slow and calm and with the wealth of fish, allows visitors moments of rest and relaxation.

Canoeing: Our canoes are Canadian style with capacity for up to 3 people. They allow visitors direct contact with the nature of the pantanal. Since the canoe is calm and quiet, you can get close to animals and hear the sound of birds. These chances increase when the ride is done at dawn. Canoeing upriver offers more adventure and adrenaline for lovers of ecotourism.

Walking on trails: Occurs on the trails around the farm in forests with vegetation typical of the Pantanal, ridges, woods, aquatic and savannah environments. The strong point of the walk is the observation of birds, you will see dozens of different species. On the tour you can also find animals such as capybaras, coatis, deer, anteaters and quexadas and take pictures.

Recreational fishing: Considered one of the best places to fish in the region, the Pantanal and Rio Negro, with its privileged location, offer visitors a huge variety of fish, such as pintado, pacus, dourados, and piraputanga piaus, besides the piranh. The system is the catch and release so the fish caught must be returned to the river. Some may be brought into the kitchen of the inn, for the preparation of dishes such as catfish and golden soup roast. The Barra Mansa rents out fishing equipment, and specialized guides for monitoring.

Photo Safari: This tour can be done by boat, by car, on horseback or on foot. The guides on the safari are specialized in accompanying lovers of photography. From morning to dawn, the scenery is beautiful, rich in color, form, light and movement. The site is completely preserved and with luck, you may be surprised by a jaguar resting on the waterfront.

Bird watching: The open vegetation facilitates the spotting of more than 650 species of birds, among them rare species such as jacutinga the Mutum the spoonbills and blue macaw, and toucans, Parakeets, sandpipers, herons, Tuiuiú, bigu , punches, and others. The diversity of the songs and sounds of the birds impresses all visitors.

Fly Fishing: Fishers can see the entire course their line until it reaches its goal, the dourado. The fish is extremely athletic and is considered the salmon of the tropics.
